Does anyone have any experience with the factory pro kit? Opinions on it vs. dale's and ivan's.  Thanks, Josh

I use to install a lot of jet kits, and I prefered Dyno jet kit. I have taken a few Factory jet kits out to install the Dyno jet kit.
If I didn't have a Suzuki, I would have a Kawasaki

I've had a Factory Pro stage 1 jet kit in my 1st.gen. 1200 Bandit for 3 years. It was an easy install and still runs great. At the time Ivan did'nt have a kit for a 1st gen, and Holeshot was more expensive. If I were buying a jet kit today, I'd go with Ivan's.

Seems like the 3 top recommended kits for the Bandit are:

(In no particular order)

Ivan's
Holeshot
Factory Pro

I've heard mostly negative about Dynojet and K&N (K&N is actually a Dynojet kit.)

I can't say for sure, but I believe that the Ivan's and Holeshot's jet kits are bought from K&N or Factory, and packaged and sold as thier kit.
I've been told that, but I have never seen thier needles or jets to compare. I have been dragracing for almost 40 years, I have used the Dyna jet kit about 1/2 of that time. We use to say that the Dyna kit was for dragracing, and the Factory kit was for road racing. They are probably all good if installed right.
I have a set of 98 Bandit 1200 carbs with the stage 3 K&N kit, but I have never had them on my bike. I use the 38 mm Mikuni flat slides, and all the new bikes I work on have FI.
If I didn't have a Suzuki, I would have a Kawasaki

Not true. Ivan and Dale tailor their own needles. They do both use genuine Mikuni (or Keihin) jets.
K&N's jet kits are repackaged Dynojet kits though.

Dynojet makes some fine kits, but their B12 kits are not their best and I don't know why this is, but it is. Their customer support doesn't seem to be as good as the other kits either. The overwhelming majority of jet kit tuning posts that have occurred here and at other Bandit sites comes from people trying to get DJ kits to work right. One great thing about Ivan's & Holeshot's kits is if you have a problem, the kit's creator is more than happy to help you over the phone. Greater still is that the vast majority of "shade tree" kit installers never have to use that bennie.

That's what I've heard... Dynojet Bandit kits just aren't up to snuff.

I must say what a can of worms this topic has opened.I have used dynajet kits and holeshot kits ,my best mate went for factory.dynajet is very hard to tune .dales kit is heaps better and good advice always avalible.after rooting around with mates factory kit he went way of dales hole shot kit to.Much easier to get spot on.
