Oil drain plug size

What mm size is the oil drain plug?

I tried all the wrenches in my took kit, either too big or too small!

I don't have any metric wrenches over 19mm (besides my 24mm from my chain adjust), what size do I need?

Oooooh..you suck!

And, you're stalker.

I'm not sure what she used to remove her drain plug, but I guarantee it wasn't the right size!

:bouncy:

Hopefully she didn't round off that plug too badly.

I wish this where a more usefull post, but it's the thought that counts...right?

I couldn't match it up with any metric socket I had either so I used a 13/16 IIRC.  I wish I had a better memory, and I'm not home, but I think that's what it was.

It's a 2001 1200cc, the mm size is larger than 19, but smaller than 22mm...that's my research on this so far.

Ron Ayers.com Item 7 oil pan 09247-14002 "plug" wrench size 17 mm.
same from 2001 on.
Unless someone replaced with aftermarket repair plug or there is a stock reduction from the MFG and in order to reduce inventory they will just stick anything in there with the same thread and length.
In this case use a MM ruler from the local hardware store and measure from flat to flat on the plug head, you may have to do this on your back since this particular task is conducted on the underside of the bike and really isn't a reach around job. :beers:

I just changed the oil in a 2001 B600 last night and the oil drain plug fit a 13/16 inch wrench exactly.

This is strange, I don't think 13/16 equals anthing metric:

13/16 = 0.812 5 inch [international, U.S.] = 20.6375 millimeter

WTF
