7" headlight kit??
« on: July 19, 2009, 11:32:43 AM »
I am looking for a basic modern reflector type headlight kit. I looked at holeshot kits..the look horrible  too high up and too far out. I looked at others i found links to here on the board and I rally don't like the twin "buell" or "speed triple" set up either. I just want the 1200N set up or even the one off the SV nakid bikes. Why so hard? I did find just a 7" light with no hardware on ebay. I might just go that route.

i haven't seen any. I've been looking for a headlight solution I'd be happy with for the past two years! Still haven't found it. I also would have liked a single big light if I had found one I was happy with. I'm guessing ebay may be the best bet.

IIRC, the Holeshot headlight kit used a SV650 headlight assy, so you should be able to round something like that up from a salvage source.  Most likely, any old GS or dozens of other older naked bikes could supply you with the bucket & trim ring, you can get a H4 headlamp to go in one from any auto parts store if you sourced an old sealed beam unit.  You can buy the headlight mounting parts from Suzuki for a 2001-2003 naked B12 to use on any B12.
