Tank interchange question
« on: April 16, 2005, 09:48:53 PM »
Well, after 15+ years of no ouch, I dropped my '02 Bandit last night :( I'm a bit sore, banged about, but otherwise fine, the Bandit is in pretty good shape, in fact, only needed a new clutch lever to get back on the road. (still needs left side turnsignals, and stuff) But I banged up the tank, and was looking to replace it. I found a 1997 1200 tank on ebay, but don't know for sure if that tank will fit my 2002 1200. So that's my question, will it fit? if not, what years will? thanks.

The first generation Bandit 1200s (1997 - 2000) use a different frame design and therefore a different gas tank.

From 2001 to the present the tanks are the same.
