Instument cluster lenses....Glass or plastic?
« on: October 09, 2013, 07:40:22 PM »
Hey guys I have a 2005 Bandit 1200,

The title says it all. Our neighbor had some roofers come over and the idiots put a dirty ass sandy tarp on my bike to protect it while I was out(like protecting it with sandpaper). I was able to gently extricate it off the bike without too much damage, or so I thought however there is some pretty noticeable scratches in the lens of the tachometer. What I would like to know is if the lenses are plastic or glass? If they are plastic I could use something like PlasticX to buff out the scratches. Anyone know if they are plastic or not? I'm assuming so just for safety sake in an accident and the ease of which they were scratched.

Awsome thanks Paul. Kind of went with my thinking even just for safeties sake. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want shard's of glass floating around in an accident. Cheers guys,

Chris
