New speedometer cable. Grease it or not?
« on: July 23, 2008, 04:04:02 PM »
I just bought a new speedometer cable for my 96 Bandit 600.  I don't have a manual so I don't know if I need to do anything special, like grease it before I screw it into both ends.  Does anyone know if need to grease the inner cable or the ends before installation?
Thanks

You should be fine to install the new cable "as is". You CAN consider lubing the cable yearly, however.
