I did NOT need to change the pilot jets in mine, just turned the air screws out approx 2-1/2 turns. (after drilling out the plugs)
I used 1 - 0.5 mm shim under each needle, with the stock main jets.
Mine is a stock 2G 600, stock air box, c/w snorkle, stock exhaust.
This helped warmup, and improved the "dead" zone between 4500-6000 rpm. The top gear roll on is better. Overall the bike runs noticably better through the whole mid range.
I usually ride from 1500 ft + above sea level.
You shouldn't need to increase the pilots unless you need to set the air screws out more than 3-1/2 turns +/-.
