Progressive Suspension 420 Series Shock?
« on: August 11, 2007, 03:56:40 PM »
I'm thinking about buying this shock for my 97 B12...

Name: Progressive Suspension 420 Series Shocks, Aluminum (Suzuki 1200 Bandit 1997-2000)
Price: $388.90 Our Price!
  $449.95 MSRP
Brand: Progressive Suspension
Note Heavy duty rear shock for heavy weight applications.
Note TUV approval.

I've searched the site and can see that some of you have this shock.  My guess is that it's better than the old stock shock currently on my bike, but I'm wondering if those of you that have it are happy with it.

I use the bike for commuting, sport riding and touring (occassionally two-up).  I'm 6' 1" 250 Lbs and sometimes have close to 500 Lbs onboard.

I have one on my 1st gen Bandit 1200. I got the lighter sprung shock because I ride solo and weigh 180 pounds. I have a set of soft luggage from Roadgear. I have the sportbags and the Euro 55 liter tail bag. For me it works great, and I'm quite happy with it. I've had it on my bike for 5 years with no problems. That's about the same price I paid for mine.

Thanks Zee, I ordered it last night!  I should have it in time for my annual 1000 mile two-up and overloaded (camping) ride around Maine.  I'll let you all know how it works out.
