no spark. Tip over switch TOS
« on: May 08, 2012, 12:26:31 AM »
bought a wrecked 01 b12.  It has no spark.  Does this bike have a TOS??? I had the same problem with a wrecked 03 1k I had before  Unfortunatelly the switch has been hard wired to the harness- no connector. Its a PIA to work with.

will the throttle position sensor cause no spark?  It was broken from the wreck and I took one off an 05 gs500f.  I know the TPS is good the gs  runs

2001 California models have a tip over switch, but the 49 state versions do not.  Not sure about other markets.  IIRC, it's under one of the side covers... RH?

Possibly, but on my bike when I got hit by a crazy lady doing a U-Turn on a blind corner  :duh: My bike kept running horizontally flat down on the pavement. Do you have a multimeter? Are the coils getting voltage?
