Pilot Fuel Screw Adjustment Tool
« on: September 28, 2006, 05:22:55 PM »
Where can I find a good Pilot Fuel Screw Adjustment Tool at a fair price?
Anyone buy one of those screwdrivers at do the 90 degree turn?
I've seen a few, but $70  :duh:  is a bit high for something I'll only use a few times a year (if that).

I have purchased a flexible stem screwdriver sold to replce GM headlights. It only came with Torx head tips but was able to use a small replacement straight screwdriver attachment in it (like those used in drills) In using this, I never thought my turns out were accurate on all 4 carbs.

My favorite however is just a small straight pocket sized screwdriver in which I custom ground down the handle to fit in between the carbs base of the engine. I then took a felt pen & marked the handle with quarter turn marks which I use for a referance.

I've been looking around a little and haven't found one that I want to spend my money on yet. Makeing a ground down screwdriver may be the path I follow. Custom fit screwdrivers are fun to have.

Took me some time to find one but I got mine from RonAyers.com
http://www.ronayers.com/catalogs/pu/parts.cfm?topsecid=3&subsecid=28&secid=105&type=598

see if that link will work. It's under maintenance, tools, motion pro, (about three pages down)   I bought mine for 22 and it helps with shipping if you order some other stuff (oil and oil filter). part number MP08-119. Long enough for all the carbs and decently easy to use. Average ship time. Hope this helps.
