1250 bagger in AZ?
« on: December 31, 2007, 04:30:51 PM »
Anyone around here have a 1250 with the new factory hardbags (givi v35's)?  Im in Tucson, and am trying to see how they fit on my SV1000s and none of the dealers in Tucson or Phoenix seem to have any of the hardbags in stock. To sweeten the deal I'll buy you a beer/dinner if you let me hold up one of your bags to my bike for a just a few minutes to see if it would even fit on my bike.

My problem is they don't make a v35 kit for the SV1000s so I am tring see if the bags will fit first before I try and peice a kit together.

Thanks guys,
Ryan

If I were you I would inquire Givi directly as they would know all the fit options available and be able to provide the P/N's that will work. Other then just asking others with the set up how they like it, holding up a bag to your bike isn’t going to help much unless your concerned about exhaust can clearance, again Givi should be able to tell you about that.

I'll give givi a call but i doubt they will make a kit for a discontiuned model.  Plus i like the look the www.sw-motech.de stuff much better. What i was thinking was buying a motech bandit 1250 rack and a motech sv1000 rack and see if i could make one good kit out if it, with a little fabrication if needed but before I do that i wanted to make sure the v35 bags would fit on the back of the bike and not hit the exhaust or anything elese back there. Thats why i was looking for bandit owners who might have the bags.

I see, a retrofit. Yup, looks like all the have that looks good is the E41 side case rack supports for the SV1000 (03-07). But they really look about as good.
