B-1250 with turbo

Hello all, this is my first post here.

I've got two bandits. I have 400 cc bandit, wich is -93 model. Then I have bandit 1250, wich is last year model.

So, I like my bike very much. But I think that B-12,5 would be better if I install turbo on it. It needs more power, I think.
Has anybody installed a turbo in in that bike? Are there full kits for sale?

I can't find any. If there is turbo kit available, then I can't use google  :duh:

And sorry folks, my English is very poor. Thats because I am from Finland :grin:

You've got a 400 & a 1250 Bandit - and the 1250 is down on power?   :rofl:

Seriously though, I haven't heard of anyone putting a turbo on a 1250 yet either.
There's Holeshot Racing in the UK (no connection with Dale Walker's Holeshot Performance in the USA), and they do a lot of different turbo bikes... but at £2,900.00 (US$5375 or €3,630) just for the parts for their B12 kit, you better be serious.  Anyway, you might contact them and see what they can do.

There are a lot of different routs one can go with power increases on a bike from basic breathability (airbox/exhaust/fuel increases), nitrous oxide systems and yes turbo. But for the B1250 the EFI brings in a whole other world of computer mapping requirements. I couldn't imagine the EFI mapping obstacles to overcome with turbo compared to a natural carb engine..

Sell the Bandit, add the cost of tha Limey turbo ($5375) to your proceeds from the Bandit sale, and buy a Busa.  Or, I have heard that a Busa makes a great power accessory for your Bandit gas cap.  Oh yeah, now we are getting creative.  Find some Honda Shadow friends to ride with, instantly turns your Bandit into a rocket ship.  Common folks, let's help Junnu-79 solve his problem.

With gas prices on the inevitable rise I think turbos outside of track use of course, would better serve a small scooter engine so you could boost your way up hills and onto the freeway without compromising fuel consumption. I think there was one production small car that came stock with a turbo, the Ford Escort GT I believe. I rode in a friends in 1989 and it was a typical gutless Escort until he floored it and the boost kicked in about 3 seconds later it would set you back in your seat and fly up on ramps and still got great gas millage...Something with that school of thought would work great on a production 650-Vstorm or single LOL.
   Imagine getting beat by a production 650 single or twin on your Bandit LOL.

Hello again!

So I have asked does MC-Express have turbo kit wich fits in 1250. No they haven't got.

Next place where could be turbo kits for 1250 is TTS Performance. So I sended email there today. Let's see does they have turbo kit.

Dragbike give some good links. I'll have to ask those places too.

Remapping the EFI wouldn't be hard to do. I can use "Boostcontrol".

That is "adator" wich can make EFI mapping correct.

So, I will tell you guys what I can find out.

I have the full HS stage 2 with 4-2-1 header and I am not down on power.  I will run with most bikes and can pull the wheel up in 1st and 2nd with my wrist only.  Lots cheaper then a turbo and still gets low 40's mpg with the winter fuel crap.  My $0.02

Before you spend all that money on a Turbo why not try DALE WALKERS set-up first.........you may be extremely happy, and save a lot of $$$$$.
