Valve set

I posted this in another forum and have had no replies so I am asking this here.
 Has anyone had a valve set done yet? if so how badly were the valves out? how many were out,were they loose or tight? did you get you're head retourqued? just want to know what shape the top end of the 1250 is in after a few? miles/kms.
 Since it's shim under bucket the cams have to come out or can they do this without removing them? as I think when I get my shop manual I'll do it myself and probably degree the cams at the same time.
Patiently waiting winter has only 5 months to go!

I checked the valves on mine at 18,000 km, they were all within spec. The cams do have to come out to change the shims.
