Here you go, fellas. Easy install, looks great, sounds great. In the pics with the old canister, there is some distortion of perspective because I'm holding the old can in front of the new one, but they still demonstrate the significant size difference.














And by the way, you guys are really smart. I blocked off the PAIR valve this morning and went for a quick test run. Decel popping is completely gone! I didn't think it was bothering me much until it disappeared. Now I'm much happier with the sound.

It does indeed look good.  I'm gonna quite reading these threads.  I get more and more jealous.  I'll be able to afford a better can at some point though.

Ya' know I've leaned my Bandit over 'till I felt something scrape and I'm not sure I can get rid of the strips.  I think my hard case bags may prevent that.

I really like the look, too. The stainless Scorpion oval is only $299 and the round is $275 at pipecity.com (although they can't seem to keep the round one in stock, from what I hear). They also offer free shipping. This is my first aftermarket can after owning six bikes, so I felt like I owed it to myself, especially considering how stealthy the stock can is. I felt like I was invisible out there.

I don't get out to the mountain as much as I need to. It's mostly just commuting these days. I may have to take a pair of fingernail clippers to those chicken strips.

Any chance you can turn the forward clamp around so it matches the rear one?
Would look even better with the bolt head showing that all those threads.

that would be nice. I like that carbon fiber (is it real, or just look like it?) clamp strap. very sharp. (I figure I better redeem myself with more positive feedback...)

That's a good suggestion on the forward band clamp. It was already loosely attached to the midpipe when I received it, so it didn't even occur to me to turn it around.

I guess it's just the aircraft inspector in me that notices hardware orientation.

????? Can you tell me the model number of that scorpion muffler on the Pipecity website ? I looked on Pipecity's web site and did not see that exact muffler. I really like that end can and the general design of that muffer.  Thanks, Lee.

The image on the page isn't the plain stainless model, but it's the right part. I checked it against my order. They're very friendly on the phone, so if you have concerns, you can call them at 1-800-391-2571. In case you're interested, the round can is part number 1811-1331. It's $24 cheaper.

From looking at their website, it appears they've dropped several models of the Scorpion for the B-1250. There were many more options available when I bought mine, including the flame design and several others. Ah, well. If the stainless oval is the one you want, they're still carrying it. Good luck.

Ray,  Did you have to rejet or any other mod when putting on the pipe?
It sure looks good .. I have hard bags on my bike is the clearance (height of the pipe) the same as stock?
I am thinking of going with the carbon fiber one .. thanks for the post now I may have to buy one.

I didn't change anything except blocking off the PAIR hose. It pops quite a bit on deceleration if you don't do this, but it still runs just fine. My gas mileage has dropped a little, but I'm pretty sure that's my fault for playing with the loud handle so much. 

It looks like the angle of the can is the same as stock, and the Scorpion is much shorter, so it might clear, but I'm not sure. I know Dale makes a sport touring can that rides lower for folks with hard bags. I know several others here have the Scorpion slip-on, so maybe they can offer some better advice regarding clearance.
