Definition of Irony?
« on: November 03, 2005, 05:08:38 AM »
Left work a bit late last night, slightly damp weather (not bad for November). As soon as I hit the A14 in Cambridge it absolutely chucked buckets everywhere. Typical for England, any sudden change of weather the cars cant cope, so I pulled off onto a B road where I knew it would be safer.

Bloody boots were full of water at this point, leathers were taking in the water like a dehydrated camel, fingers were soaking and feeling the cold. Then out of nowhere came a large dip in the road - what I didnt know it contained about a foot of water (not nice hitting that at 60). Amazingly the Bandit kept going straight and didnt suffer the damp.

By the point I got home, I could wring the water out of my leathers, and my clothes underneath.

My wife smiled and me and handed me a bottle of leather waterproof spray, a full body waterproof jumpsuit. She saw it while shopping and thought I might need it.

She also got me a pair of "anti freeze" inner gloves. Them things are marvellous, nice warm fingertips for a change.
