i guess its not the hooligan image that bothers the insurance but the fact they dont get stolen as much as race reps.

suits me

I have been riding bikes for 10 years but had sometime without a one so i lost my no claims, i worked for Triumph motorcycles so was able to use company bikes.
After a while i decided to get a Bandit, big power for little money.
after ordering it i then checked out insurance. I had a rough idea it would be around £500 tpft with no no-claims bonus my first quote was from a company thats supposed to specialise in "born again bikers" they quoted £1100 tpft i nearly shit myself i thought the wifes not going to like this :soapbox: Anyway cutting a long story short i got it down to about £520 with Carol Nash i was just about to agree with it when i saw an advert from Hastings Direct in MCN they quoted £350 so i went with them and have been with them now since owning the bike which is nearly 3 years.
I still shop round each year but nobody seems to be able to beat them.
Gonna start looking at the weekend.

By the way it's just my opinon but always phone for a quote dont take the online quote as they will always better it when you talk to them.

cheers

Yeah I have to agree with the phoning for quotes, with bennets (again) I got quoted £580 tpft with a 94 bandit 400   , which I thought was a bit much (even though I had only passed my test a year ago and It's kept in a garage with an alarm)

Phoned them up and It suddenly changed to £360

That's rediculous!! No wonder they offer 10% discounts if you do it online!

Then again maybe that's just Bennets?

Billy,

Can you please do something about that avatar of yours.

How the heck do you expect us older guys to read your postings while those two are being massaged at 30mph? :duh:

BTW are the Lions in for a drubbing on their tour? :bigok:
