Are progressive fork springs worth it?

Does anyone have experience with racetech gold valve cartridge emulators. Kind of pricey but I have heard several good things about them. Are they worth $160.

I have the Racetech springs and gold valves on my '05 1200S.  It's a noticeable improvement over stock parts.  However, I put the gold valves in the same time as the springs, so I don't know what the ride would be like without them.  Makes me wonder if I should've spent the extra cash on the valves, or just stuck with the springs only.

99 B12 here...I replaced the stockers with PS springs the 2 nd year  Ihad it. I run 15wt oil, and it is definitely better than stock. PS: Change your fork oil every year..I do, flush them out well with varsol let dry and replace the oil. Judging from the color of the old oil every year, I would say it is a good idea.
