Ive seen a few post here regarding the standard lighting provided by Suzuki on the bandits and noted a dissatisfaction in some of the posts.
But then if you think about it they are using one low beam and one high beam and a car uses two of each. So I thought about mounting aux. lights and improve on the lighting. I was amazed at the differance and now i see that two of any high or low is the ticket. I mounted a set of Hella FF 50 to the very bottom of the forks "vertically" and now I have these beams that touch the road at the front wheel and stretch a good hundred yards out and up. and WOW what a differance. Yes the stock lighting is singular and if you do any night driving i would recommend additional lighting to improve the line of sight

Now that looks like a very nice job  :congrats:

Look's like a modification that I might do to mine, just got to
find a small pair of lights.

Just so I make sure....................................
The clamps are exhaust clamps I take it?
Did you use a spacer (the little silver disc !)
What did you wire them into, the side light or dipped beam ?
OR
Did you create a new power supply through a relay and switched?

Sorry for all the questions, just want to get it right the 1st time around  :duh:

Hi PIN here.

The clamps are stainless with keepers 2", I drilled a hole dead center of the keeper and welded a 5/16 stainless nut on the inside. The tape is rubber non skid to protect the forks paint job and to give the clamp extra bite so as not to slip. The spacer thingy is a shaft collar with a set screw. The Hella ff 50s were cheap off of E-Bay came with instructions and components that utilized a relay off the battery. The signal is from the low beam light white wire right at the bulb connector. Push button for off and on is mounted right below the throttle on the fairing black liner.

I have ordered a pair of "Angel Eye's"  :shock:
They are a small (75mm Dia) light with a ring of white LED's around them

Hey, heads up on the Hella FF50's. There is a wholesale company selling a bunch of them on EBAY. I just bought a set for $25.00. Check it out if you thinking of adding them to your bike.

I'll have to look in my EBAY history to see if I still have it. I'll warn you though, after I got the FF50'S they looked huge on the bike. IMHO.

Well I have now fitted lights to the Bandit  :grin:
Not like Pin has done by fitting them to his forks, I have fitted some "Angel Eyes" between the Engine Bars.
Very Bright and look great as well  :motorsmile:





I will post some close-up photo's when I can get out to the bike, it has not stopped raining since I fitted them  :sad:

Hi,

Sorry to thread-jack but I figured I could add the job I just completed ($29.99 at autozone...very small with a metal body):





I didn't snap a pick of the lights on but with the Silverstar H4 headlight and these babies it's like riding during the day!  I think they are aimed low enough not to blind oncoming traffic.  It seems that the other two mounting locations shown in this thread are easier to adjust for a long low output but I like mine too.

I also added clear turn signals front and rear.

Everyones jobs look real good!!
