If your planning to make "improvements", check out Dale Walkers Holeshot; www.holeshot.com

You'll find additional info on his 1250 updates on his forum at Max Suzuki, but or course, the best info and group of Bandit riders is this forum.

Got 'er home today!! Showroom clean, literally!  Since the 56 miles were put on last summer, it's been sitting in a new car showroom, where the seller is gen.manager, and son of the dealership's owner!

I'm guessing your verizon page isn't share friendly - cuz I can't see 'em.  You can load them to photobucket or a site like that for sharing here.

Check the url, then.  When I paste the urls into a browser, I: "Not Found
The requested URL /merc4/b2.jpg was not found on this server."  :headscratch:

Wow, you're right! Maybe it's a temporary Verizon thing.  I'll wait a while, maybe it'll fix itself.  I wondered why I didn't at least get the little red x's in a box!

Thanks for your help!!

EDIT:   Geez, I had put 'em in a sub folder.   :duh:

  Well Gents,

Believe it or not, I rode it for the first time today! :bigok:   I know.....what took so long?  The weather has been crappy, I've been busy,  yadda....yadda.....  So, since it was from out of state, I had to get the vin# inspected at the dmv before I could get the Ohio title, and, of course, plates.  So I put on the plate from my other bike, and rode like an old woman on the way there, to make sure I didn't get stopped.  (fictitious plates)

The riding position reminds me of the FZ, but definitely not the power.  I couldn't get on it too hard, but I thrashed it a little when I was lucky enough to find a stretch of completely dry road.  She's definitely got torque, everywhere.  The ride was extreeemely windy, only because of a 40mph cross wind.  Y'all know what it's like, scraping a peg just to go straight, I'm sure.  So, it's now legal, all the PITA stuff is taken care of, and the odo is clear up to 85 miles!!

Totally off topic, when I got home, our basketball pole/backboard/rim/ had busted off, from rust, and wind, and was laying just behind my '08 4dr Wrangler, the love of my life!!  I was afraid to look!  But, I jumped up to see the top of the hardtop, nuthin' broke or scratched, no body damage, the only thing it actually hit, was the spare tire on the tailgate, which deflected it away from the rear window.

Moral of Story?     Appreciate good luck when it comes your way, 'cuz it could go the other way next time!! :beers:

Hiya Don and welcome to the forum!!!  :welcome:

This bike will grow on you every time you throw a leg over it.

The arm ripping torque is through the entire powerband. May not have a ton of HP but the torque really does make up for it. Also with just an exhaust, TFI, & o2 senser override you can get another 30 ponies. The seat is like sitting on a brick but can be easily fixed. The stock exhaust is huge and heavy....also easily fixed.

I have owned many bikes in my time but the Bandito 1250 is the best "all-around" bike I have ever had or even rode.

Enjoy your new bike and  :congrats: on the awesome price.

I already shortened the stock pipe for now, as for the the seat, 30 miles never seemed so far

Believe it or not the seat will get much better. After my 50 mile ride home from the dealer my butt hurt so bad I thought I was gonna cry ; now 1100 miles later I think it feels pretty good. I did raise the front portion of the seat with the adjustable riser blocks to stop the sliding forward while braking though

I sent my seat in to Frank Turnier at Spencer Motosports (www.agreatdaytoride.com) in preparation for a 500 miles 1 way from San diego to Sacramento.  Total cost for the whole seat... $100 + shipping.  Before, i could go a max of an hour before i really started feeling it in my rear.  Now?  4 hours before I even noticed anything.  Best $$ i've spent yet
