Reminds me of 1978.  I was 18 years old and just bought a new '78 CB750F.  I was already jealous of those DOC GS's.

And I was 6'2", 170lbs back then myself.  Damn again.

GS750E.  I miss that thing.  Tried to find a mint example to buy over a period of months and never could.

Back in the '77 pic I was 145 lbs... I'm 235 now.  :sad:
I'm still 6' tall though...  :lol:

Then why'd ya buy the more expensive Honda? :tongue:

I was torn between the GS and a KZ900/1000, but the reviews of the Suzuki's better handling lured me - and almost as fast 1/4 mile times and top speed didn't hurt any. (My friend's KZ900 could only pull me by ~1-2 mph across out top secret test track in the Kalifornya desert.)

I was a little jealous of the '78 GS750E with it's alloy wheels and twin discs... then the GS1000's came out and I started drooling for a GS1000S, but by then, married life and kids put a damper on buying a new bike. (That where the RD fit into the picture.)

Very nice guys,

the B12 will stand the test of time just like the classic GS750/1000/1100.

I have the first year GS750 Superbike (new 750cc class in 1983) with aluminum swingarm/monoshock, 16in front, and TSCC 16v motor. Here it is back in 1988 when it had its first rebuild.



Kevin Schwantz rode a Yosh prepped '83 against the GPZ750 and VF750- Interceptor that year. They are all now classics.

I HAVE THE SAME EXACT BIKE.  
HAVE YOU CONSIDERED CHANGING THE SEAT OUT TO A RACING

This is the bike I will be selling this spring. It even has a brand new 1 day old charging system as I thought I was going to ride it another season before the dealer made me an offer on a 2005 bandit 1200 I couldn't refuse  :grin:

1984 GS750EF Canadian Full fairing model.



It has 7000 Kms on a top end rebuild a Yosh pipe that someone has actually jetted properly and all the intruments and guages work perfectly. The paint's pretty good on it too. I'm going to miss her. She pretty fast.
2005 Bandit 1200, Modified Holeshot Stage 1 with 17.5 pilots 2.75 turns out, and 110 mains 5 shims. Muzzy Slip on w/mid-pipe, stock filter. 1.5" hole in the airbox lid.

Thanks, I would have bought one if I could find one. The seat was recovered, I built up the rear portion to keep my a$$ from sliding back when running it hard.
