Wew...after a long, cold, snowy, 6 months, I finally got out for a ride today.
We actually had 22 deg C(72 F) today...kind of bizzare, since I was caught in 28 cm of snow in Calgary on Thursday...
Anyway, got out for a nice little 400 km (260 miles) afternoon blast with a few friends, and had a chance to test out my winter changes: Leo Vince slip-on and Zero Gravity Double Bubble windscreen
The screen is a good upgrade for me. There is no buffeting, and it removes a lot of the wind pressure off my chest.
I had jetted the bike last year, which helped some, and the addition of the Slip-on was another decent little upgrade. I need to go up a size on the main jet still, as it seem a little lean under full throttle, but the top gear roll-on from 4000 rpm and especially 5000 rpm is significantly better. The Leo Vince is somewhat louder, without being offensive, and provides a nice throaty sound.
Ahh...nice to be riding again... but were are suppossed to be back to a high of 2-3 deg C (36-38 F) by Friday.
