Mongo, how many miles on your 2G B12 Shock, and how much would you give it up for?

elbandido, I'm typing out your "How to post pictures" and it's taking forever, tell you what, send me an email with your home phone and I can probably talk you through it quicker.
But sign up on either or both

These are the ones I use and I'll be able to talk you through them easier.
I'll send you what I've typed so far and you'll see what I mean.

Hey Elbandido

My stock '02 600S has the same 31F stamped on the side plates of the dog bones. I think yours are stock.

Wow!  Thanks Pmackie.  By the way, what's the seat height on your 02 B6?  Mine is at about 29".  Is your Rear Shock stock also, or did you upgrade?

Bandit#999,
Pmackie just confirmed that my dogbones are stock.  So I guess I won't be swapping them out for you at the moment.
Sorry, man....

I still may try to gain another 1.5" in seat height, either by a stiffer rear shock or some highering bones.  When I do I'll let you know, Bandit#999.

Mongo,

I'm seeing if I can find one with lesser mileage, at the moment.  If not, I'll take yours.  And I may be making a trip to Southern California, in the next couple weeks, and could be in your vicinity for a swap of the Especial Cuervo for the shock.  But I'll let you know for sure.

Elbandido :thanks:

Elbandido...
I have a stock '02 600S, now with 32000 km (20000 miles). Rear spring preload is on full stiff, front forks are dropped 5/8" in tubes with Progressive Springs.

Seat height measured by placing a carpenters level 2-3/4" behind fuel tank is 29-7/8".

Basically zero static sag on the rear, but about 3/4" static sag on the front.

Mongo...if Elbandido doesn't really want the shock, I'm interested. How about a trade for a nice black Mountain Petroleum ball cap, Stainless coffee mug and nicely engraved, wood handle inlaid jacknife. I'll pay the freight for both shipments.

PM me with your address, and I will send you the goods via courier along with my shipping instructions.

Mongo,

Go ahead and deal the Shock to Pmackie, since I'm on the fence right now.  No problem at all.  I may not be able to do the work until later anyways.

Thanks for you generosity,

Pmackie,

Will you let me know once you've set-up Mongo's Rear B12 Shock, on your B6, and tell me if there is any improvement versus your stock 2nd generation B6 Shock?  Whether it's noticeably stiffer, and handling improved, or any other comments you might have, installation, etc...?
