Luggage rack for gn77b?
« on: May 14, 2011, 03:29:03 PM »
Hi all you Bandits

I'm a bit confused here. I'm taking my wife, and bike for a trip thru Italy in a few month, so I've been looking at sidecase racks for my gsf 600n from 1996.
A lot of the racks seems to only work if you have sissybars - mine doesn't. Looking at pictures of different 96 bandits, it seems like mine is missing some holes in the bodywork for mounting rack, sissybars etc? (mine is like this one http://ookaboo.com/o/pictures/picture/12906858/1996_Suzuki_Bandit_N_in_red)

Is it possible to get a rack for my model bike? and if yes - where?

This isn't side cases, but it is a luggage system that will work on your grab handle-less B6.

http://www.ventura-bike.com/fitments.aspx?modelid=614 They are a NZ based company with distributors all over the world.  I've had their system on my B12 for 10 years and I love it.

look up oxford for throw over paniers and tank bags.
they are fairly cheap and surprisingly well built.
bout 40 liters per pair for paniers and up to about 15 liter tank bags.
cost my dad $200 nzd for the paniers
