i have just fitted these stebel magnum horns (twin pack) 139db loud mothers to my b12
my question is should i use the relay some people said they have just plugged straight in and never bothered with relay i realy dont know what to do ,any advice on how to wire up would be most helpful thanks paul........................................................................................

Use the relay... trust me on this one.   My Stebel will still dim the headlights slightly and that is hardwired to the battery and with a relay present.  Did I mention the thing will absolutely blow you away?   For wiring suggestions go to the Bandit FAQ and look for the Stebel horn installation thread.

I have really got to see this horn, tx!  I read your post on installation, but I have to hear this thing in person.  Maybe at an ETMG.  139db - Jeez.

The posted DB measurement (according to the fine print) is taken at 4" away from the horn.... not a likely useful distance but even at the standard 10 feet the horn is WAY louder than stock.  I'll scrounge around for the Stebel web link... they have wave files of all their horns and the Nautilus is about as obnoxious as you can get - without using straight pipes.  :stickpoke:

Ummm... that would indicate a bad wiring job  :shock:  but it really does dim the lights slightly when used - only noticable at night.

so do i plug the posi wire from horn switch into relay
 then run a live to relay from battery
 then earth relay to frame,
now comming out of relay a live which will power both horns
 then earth horns

what size inline fuse should i put coming from battery ????

What's the package say they draw? Fuse accordingly.
