lowering the std. handlebars, the reason why!
« on: October 31, 2006, 04:36:30 AM »
I have lowered the handlebars on my 1200K1 Bandit, what I mean is I have loosened them a dropped them back a couple of inches, this drops them and moves them back towards me about an inch or so, I feel this is a much more comfortable position, makes it nicer to corner. It drops my elbows slightly to become more horizontal, more (Im told) where they should be. I was wondering has anyone else done this. I find I used to get a little tight in my shoulders/neck after an hour or so of riding, and now I dont have problems. Be careful not drop them too far as you will pinch your thumbs on the tank when turning tight, your will also have to adjust your brakes clutch etc , but this only takes a couple of minutes.
Try it you will like it?
