just got a 5 degree ignition advancer to put into bike (98 b12)how does one stop the rotor from turning whilst trying to undo
put it in gear but still turns  :duh:

You remove the allen bolt in the center and the ignition advancer pulls out. Put a wrench on the ignition advancer to hold it and brake the center bolt loose, remove the bolt, the ignition advancer does not unscrew it just slides off.
