You know I think ABS is a total crock of shyte.
And yes I have tried ABS out on both 2 and 4 wheels.
Hate it, and really is only for people who can not ride or drive.
Better off spending the money on advanced riding or driving courses.
Dont mean to offend, but with all these driver/rider aids, really only serves to make us lazy, and erode the skills required to operate bikes/cars. Even in extreme weather areas, a good car/bike operator still at time needs the ablity of being able to lock a wheel/wheels is get out of some circumstances. Removing the ability of lock up brakes only removes one set of dangers and puts it somewhere else. Or in my case the ABS took over going down a very step hill, wet/ muddy/ and corrigated, thank you very much no brakes at all. Thank my lucky stars the hand brake still was operative but still I went straight through an intersection and came to a stop a foot of 2 from a 30 foot drop into a icy fast flowing river. Oh yeh, I did know the condition of the road and as I approached the down hill section of the road I stopped the car and put it into Low gear. It was not down to driver error, it was the shytefull ABS taking control and leaving me with no brakes at all, over corrigated roads, yes the fuse was pulled to disable the system from the very next day onwards, sure the light on the dash gave me the shytes, but the very next time I went down that hill I didn't even come close to ending up in the drink.
ABS may in a perfect world with perfect roads and perfect conditions, a good thing. But I dont know about where you guys live, but neither are here.
My 2 cents worth.
