I've used pay spray washes before and they can help. My son got one, so this spring I did the usual cleanup. Disaster and ten thousand curses.

This one had higher pressure and blew some of the paint off my 98 Bandit's cylinder heads, (black enamel). Now it looks butt ugly.

I'm not crazy about pulling the head off for the full aluminum acid bath(s) and paint prep treatment. I can't even figure out how to protect the machined mateing surface, anyway.
Has anyone had this problem and knows of any sort of cure?
