B600 streetfighter.
« on: April 29, 2005, 05:10:13 AM »
Hey folks,  So I got the insurance check and most of my new parts have arrived.  I got the Hayabusa shock,  Thanks again for the help Paul!  Now that I have the black tank on the blue frame I'm thinking The motor would look sweet black also.  The more I spend the more I think I should have sold the 600 and streetfighter a 1200.  :duh:

The 1200 will happen soon enough, but it got me thinking,  The b12 engine is black:-)   Has anyone on here ever put a 1200 engine into a 600 chassis.  I think the frames are pretty much the same but the mountings may be different.  Since I'd need a new cpu, ignition coils and all that jazz perhaps it's as easy to just get a b12.

Should I just hold out and get b12 or would upgrading the motor be a realistic option down the road?  If I went as far as to do that upgrade I'd prolly install a gixer front end also.

I've attached a link to some pics of the work in Progress.  I think the black tank and blue frame are pretty sweet!  Got a set of blue bolts to replace all the crappy Zuki ones and the rest of the bodywork is out for paint.  She looks a bit rough after the accident (car Left turned into me at a green light..  ouch! :boohoo: ) and lying up for a few months some rust got at her:-(  Most of it is just surface rust and will polish out.  Any thoughts, ideas are encouraged.   Thanks folks.

Yes, but the frame, brakes, swingarm, suspension etc. are all not really up to the task.
It will be cheaper to just buy a B12.

Yeah,  I knew the suspension and brakes would need upgrading but I didn't realize the frame was that different!  Since if i bought a B12 I would be replacing the stock suspension on it anyway and about 2500 dollars in mods later on the B6 I would be taking most of those parts over to the B12 also,  or at least whatever Will work.

I guess I'll just finish the 600 and sell it when the time comes for the 12.

Thanks Manny!

Ro out:)

I don't know that it's been done, but it should be do-able (I know 750 motors have been put in B12's and the 750 fits the B6, too)... but like Manny said, it's cheaper to just get a 1200 and you'll get all the other "upgrades" with it.
