Yes, the mirrors have blinkers in them... they're late model GSXR bits.
Yes, it was pretty easy to install them.
Not quite a bolt-on affair, but simple enough that a monkey with a drill can do it. I drilled the fairing bracket pivot pins out of the mirrors and ditched the fairing mount (it's orientation would work anywhere on the 1G fairing). Then bolted simple "L" brackets that attach where the blinkers used to go (thru the vertical flanges of the L brackets), then ran a bolt thru the hole the pivot pin used to live in on the horizontal flanges. On the 1G, the blinkers attach to the fairing subframe, so the pivots are out of plain sight. The first attempt, I used some L clips from the framing dept of the hardware store, but these proved a little too lightweight - the mirrors vibrated too much for a clear rear view. The current brackets (2nd try) are made out of some angle iron. The mirrors are rock solid now!
