does anyone know of a good tire floor pump for topping my tire pressure off a few pounds on my bandit 600. i've tried my bicycle floor pump, but it doesn't engage the valve to pump air into. would valve extenders do the trick? thanks, and safe riding.

One of those cheap 12v tire pumps like you can pick up at WalMart for $10 will do the trick.

I agree with Paul.
For the price of a GOOD floor hand pump, you can get a compact 12v electric unit that you can hardwire to the bike and keep under the seat.

Seen it done and it works great.
Or just keep it in the garage.

Another option is to buy a cheap air cylinder that you can fill up at a service station to like 100psi and then just keep in your garage.
They usually don't hold air that long, though.

I've wired up one of those cheap 12v pumps with a 15 amp automotive fuse and a switch so I can attach it to the bikes battery and pump up the tires. Works great, but it drains the battery in a hurry.

I picked up one of those small air compressors at an auto parts store. Has a little motor on top of a tank. They run about $60. It won't run tools but it pumps tires fast and I can even pump my truck tires to 85 psi for big loads. It pumps to 90 psi so it handy for a lot of jobs. I can blow out the plumbing in my camper for winter and it even blew the pistons out of brake calipers when I did a rebuild. Its electric but I have used it behind my small inverter which plugs into the cig lighter.

Both great idea's -- but since my bike's stored indoors neither will work. Not a big deal though, I just throw the battery on the charger once I'm done.
