Yeah gyrogearcrunch I plan on getting the manual as soon as I find one. Seems the 1250 one is elusive.
I still have 9 months of warranty so I have to let them twist the wrenches for a bit.
As Pogo (archaic reference, I know!) used to say "Org!".
If you run into a Clymer or Haynes manual for the 1250, please let me know the part number(s). I'd hate to have to shell out for the Suzuki Official Shop Manual, but from the lack of results I got searching the infernal-net for a 1250 manual from one of the aforementioned two publishers, $uzuki may be the only choice.
Warranty work is a wonderful thing. You can keep going back until it's fixed - no charge! Lucky my '06 1250 runs fine, but when it hiccups, I'll have to get the shop manual, it looks like. Went on a milk run today and decided that traffic from the rear was catching up too fast, so I gave her WOT through the gears - until I noticed the speedo saying "90" in a "50" zone! Wholly crap! I wasn't even outa 4th yet! She's healthy, all right! No wonder the cagers got so small in the rear-views so fast. <grin>
