Upside down fork conversion-need advice
« on: November 12, 2006, 08:02:32 PM »
I have bought a pair of used Ohlins forks that are identical to the GSXR's in terms of length and diameter.  I need advice on whether the stem can be pressed out of the Bandit triple and into a GSXR triple, and any advice that would help get this going.  Thanks. Chris :thanks:

Try logging on to a few "streetfighter" web sites, heaps of guys drop that style of fork into Bandit's.
That's impressive,
and I'm not easily impressed.

Look, a blue car!

If you know a good site to check, I will go there.  I will search as well, but I am not sure I will find the best one.

thanks chris

It can be done.  Search this site.  Actually, look in the 1200/600 Modifications forum (thread towards the top).  One of our members, Deepink, has done it.

Yes, it can be pressed out of the Bandit triples, and into the gixxer triple.  B12Rider over at Max-Zuke did it.
