263km/h speedster held

Johannesburg - The Ekurhuleni Metro Police speed law enforcement unit on Sunday arrested two road users driving at speeds in excess of 250km/h on the N3 freeway near the Linksfield turnoff.
Media liaison officer Wilfred Kgasago said a Suzuki motorcyclist was clocked doing 263km/h and a BMW M3 was clocked at 257km/h.
Four other speedsters were arrested.
A Yamaha motorcyclist was caught doing 205km/h, a BMW was clocked at 196km/h, another motorcyclist did 188 km/h and a Mercedes Benz driver did 183 km/h.
All six were released on bail of R1 000 each and would appear at the Edenvale court on Monday.
Four hundred other motorists were captured on a digi-speed camera traveling at speeds of between 131km/h and 180km/h at the same place on the N3 freeway.
These motorists would be mailed written notices, Kgasago said.
