What,s the buzz about B12 at USA and Spain, Suzuki dont import it in our countries, we have to buy it at Europe market, but you?.

There is a post of our Club Bandit Spain forum, someone of us are very interesting to change our bikes.

For the US, we're pretty much left out completely. You might be able to bring one in from Canada, but their prices are higher than US prices. With the addition of feesand troubles the US government would put you through, you'd have to want one REAL bad to go to the trouble of getting one. The bright side is there are still leftover 2003-2005 models taking up space in wharehouses and dealer showrooms, so you can still get a new Bandit, it just won't be a 3rd generation one.

I am hoping that Suzukis reason for  not bringing the Bandit to the U.S. in 2006, is to sell off all the 04-05 left over Bandits this summer and then Give the U.S. the 2007 Bandit next year!  Just in time for me to up-grade!

Possibly, but I'm thinking more along the lines they'll sell off the leftovers and we'll get the big-bore GSR instead.

Look at the rear brake on that bike. TINY!  And the fronts are back to the old not-so-favored four pot?  They de-evolutionized the Bandit!!!!  Now I am glad we didn't get it.

They are 4-pot, but they're Tokico 4-pots, the 1G used Nissin 4-pots.
Curious to know how the new brakes compare to the 2G's...

Strange My Bandit 1200 has 6 pot Tokico brakes. Maybe the 4 pots are better?
2005 Bandit 1200, Modified Holeshot Stage 1 with 17.5 pilots 2.75 turns out, and 110 mains 5 shims. Muzzy Slip on w/mid-pipe, stock filter. 1.5" hole in the airbox lid.

Nothing strange about that. The 2G B12's all have 6-pot Tokicos. The 3G has 4-pot Tokicos and the 1G has 4-pot Nissins.

And suzuki has anounced the 06b12 will be gracing our shores, s model only, with a shorter tank by 30mm, in order to bring with rider on board a closer to 50/50 bias. Norrower seat and higher screen. I think something about the lights are different too.
Foot loose and fancy free.
Looking for adventure and what ever comes our way.

....The seat is also adjustable for hieght......what's next, heated hand grips and seat, GPS, shaft drive.....oh sorry that's BMW...

I am in a real bad place at the moment.  Have sold my 2005 B12N and am awaiting the New Zealand release of the 2006 s model.  In the mean time the waether is great and I keep seeing the fella that bought my old bike everywhere that I go.

Is there such a thing as Bandit withdrawl???    :crybaby:
Taken over by the dark side. Now riding a CB 1300 but visit my old bandit regular.

I have heard that the 4 pot brakes are actually better.  I can't remember the details, but that is why the sport bikes got away from the 6 pot brakes.

The 4 pots being better than the 6 pots might have something to do with unsprung mass and heat disipation (typing out of my a$$ rith now).  From what I've heard the Tockico 6 pots are better than the previous gen's nissin 4 pots...in fact I bought a set to improve my 1G's stopping power which is lacking right now (and could probably be attributed to the need for a brake bleed as much as inferior calipers).

I'll report on my findings when I install them. :grin:

My whole point being it may have to do with make as well as number of pots.

When the liter bikes went away from 6-pots, it was to go to radial mounted brakes - and those were able to supply the desired power with only 4 pots.
