bowing to temptation
« on: August 13, 2005, 06:08:00 PM »
well, I broke down and bought an SV650 the other day, ostensibly to replace my RF600 (but who knows)...got a few interesting mods in place, most notably a GSXR front end/suspension/rotors/brakes. Gonna modify the bars for more humane ergos in deference to my creaky ole back. I've ridden an SV couple times, and was really impressed with the quickness and handling. So, we shall see. It's the same color as the Bandit--looks as if my Bandit had a kitten.

Hope to install braided brake lines and lowering kit shortly...maybe some funky graphics this winter. At any rate, Project SV will keep me out of the pool hall for a spell.

You talking about the lower fairing?  I think they look great with the lowers!
Ever noticed that they don't make helmets out of bone? There's a reason.

No, she doesn't have add-on lowers, her bike has a whole different (and larger) fairing.
The pic is too big to post here, but if you click here, you can see it.

I see.  Nice touch, IMO.  I like stuff that draws a second look.

I thought Pete was referring to the lowers that are available for the SV650s.

Damn!!    She can probably knock semi's off the road with the windblast from that fairing.    Move over Goldwing, now there's something tourier.
