That sucks!!!  One thing about it, that shouldn't be that easy of a bike to get rid of.  It isn't street legal and kind of an one purpose bike.  The trailer may pose more problems for finding.  Regardless, good luck in finding it.

Re: TRAILER AND BIKE STOLEN IN DALLAS --FOUND 12/14/07!! Thanks

Yes! it was found Friday night.... here is what he had to say
"Phone rings, I say hello, voice on other end asks "Can you hold please" I say sure and wait for about ten seconds and then hear in a very clear voice someone say.....

"You have the right to remain silent, anything you say will be used in a court of law"

Then she says, Mr. Baxter, we have him in custody and he is taking us to your bike, we will call you in ten minutes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

Later on

"This turned into a huge deal, meth addicts were running a theft ring in S. Dallas and N. Ellis Counties. The guy that lead them to the bike and trailer was wearing one of our team shirts !!! And he said that they had looked the bike up on the internet and asked the arresting office if it was OK to get my autograph !!!!!! The Ellis County Sheriff told him all he would get from me was a punch in the mouth, and take that shirt off. He stook in the rain for about 20 minutes before they put him in the cruiser.

The trailer is toast, stripped and abused, if they couldn't get it out easy they ripped it out, it was almost gutted and they painted the back door with cheap spray paint, but the bike was untouched, light hairline scratches on the body but the bike looked perfect, not a screw out of place...go figure.
Kirk, they found it about two miles from Maypearl on the Venus side."

" The bike is perfect, nothing to do except put gas in oil in it and she is ready to rock n roll. The trailer isn't as bad as we thought, in the light of day it looked a lot better than in the rain last night. Anyone know how to make new doors for the cabinets?

Anyway, I am thinking of putting together a file for the two officers that worked so hard on this case that will include some letters and posts off this board. If anyone would like to drop them a line and give them a pat on the back please email it to me, I will print them on nice paper and hand deliver them next week.

The two officers are: Lt. McAnally and Lt. Smith, Detectives, Lancaster Police Departement. "

Glad the perps were caught and he got his stuff back!  :bigok:

He might wanna consider a LoJack - it'll make finding stolen stuff a lot quicker & easier!

When I had my trailer with all my toys inside at the river I would always take the 40' SS braided cable that I ran through all the frames of the bikes on the inside and run it outside two ports outside through the mag wheel axles as well. Also a pad lock on the hitch with a warning sign that I had Lo jack even though I was too cheap to get it. I figured if anyone ever considered stealing my stuff they probubly thought it was too inconvenient when there were more trailers available in the camp grounds with no wheel or hitch locks.
