Scheduled Maintenance Requirements

I just turned 350 miles on my 05 Bandit. Looking at the maintenance schedule in the factory booklet states oil changes and inspection for things like valves chain etc.
I read somewhere on this site that it may require a little more than inspections.
Could someone let me know what Im in for, and what the average cost will be.

The initial 600 mile service can run anywhere from $75-350 at your dealer.    What they charge you isn't a real good indication of whether they actually performed the work, though.
  Checking the valve adjustment is pretty critical.
  Oil change, dittos.
   Most of the other specified stuff is really checking for loose fasteners, and generally looking over the bike....

I had mine done about a month ago.  I marked a couple of the bolts and the oil filter to be sure.  Now at least I'm reasonably sure the important work got done.
