Graham, Monbulk is little more than a stones throw from here. As far as I know at no time has the township or its outshirts come under any threat.
Hope this info puts your mind at ease.
But as I keep on saying none of us are out of the woods yet.

As I said it ain't anywhere near over, we have just been given, a extreme fire warning for tomorrow, so its battern down the hatchs again. Mid 30 C temp and a gusterly Nth East wind to drive the fire back on us....

BTW Death toll so far 209, with the corona demanding the cops search again over ground they have already checked, so reading between the lines, the missing persons tally is still way way higher than the amount found......Numbers being bantered around 300 to 500 dead. over 1800 confirmed houses gone.

here is a  couple of maps and the fires that at the moment directly impact on us, also remembering, all expected to flare up again tomorrow.

Yes we are still here.
Townships to our east have been evaced.but we fared better today than expected.

Hey Willo for f*#* sake now is the time to contact your relo's mate.
A new fire front has started up no more than 10 maybe 15k's as a crow flies from Monbulk, and there is nothing much but un mantained forest in its way. Should this gusting sth wind keep it up for the next day maybe 2 they are right in its path, if they don't get it under control pronto pronto. yah know what i'm saying.

The lastest updates I have are warning us that friday could be almost as bad as black saturday 2 weeks ago.

So now the greenies and hippies poke their silly heads up (pity we can not shot :gatlin: them off as they bob their heads up into our sights), and start spouting their Bullshyte rhetoric. :no-no:

What does it take to get these drug f*#*ed morons to understand, that they have had it their way, it ended in the states single worst disaster, since written  :deal: history started.
Now we, who have chosen to live in the country, want the right to look after our properties as we see fit. We, who live in the country, want the right to protect our families, to protect the Great Divide, the critters that normally would live there, and the natural beauty that it exhumes.

The Greenies, hippies along with spineless government idealists, are now telling us, we need to spend millions of dollars on early warning systems, :yikes: compulsory evacuations , new fire resistant building codes, as well as fire bunkers :banghead:.

Hello is there something I ain’t seeing here.
What is wrong with just plain old fire prevention……? :stickpoke:
No, your right we can never ever stop fires, but we can lessen there impact, we can prevent the fire storm, we know we can, it’s been done for generations.
Then why is it so, that we have to put up with this shyte….? :soapbox:

We are to have a few of the greatest Aussie bands reforming to play gigs to help raising money for the bushfire appeals. Bands like Midnight oil, cough f*#*en cough, Mr. Peter Garret, please just f*#* off, you’re the typical greenie dumb f*#* that helped cause this disaster, being the federal minister for the environment :deadhorse:. What did your policy help save?, the critters, no they are mostly dead (the dead ones are the lucky ones, spare a thought for those critters unable to feed, injured just lying there in the middle of butt f*#* nowhere, just waiting to die) the trees, the same, dead, the water catchment areas, there f*#*ed and maybe soon could be rendered useless for years to come, the air quality carbon outputs, cough f*#*en cough :rant2:. Ya did a great job didn’t you Peter, you where a arrogant prick back then, as you are now,(remembering that for many years I worked in rock and roll). Stop trying to play the Mr. do-gooder its way to late. Ya can pull the wool over the eyes of most the people, for a little time, the wool has now been burnt off, now what? :poopfan:

But there is a light at the end of the tunnel, one local MP, a cough f*#*en cough a liberal party sitting member, has actually spoken some common sense. And has told the government that it should withhold it’s funding for infrastructure, until forest floor fuel reduction has been undertaken by the local governments, to the satisfaction of the federal government…..Here, here, Fran Bailey :worship: ya getting my vote, at last someone in government with half a brain, that can see through all the bullshyte, can see that we don’t need to spend 40 f*#*en million dollars on a royal commission, to get the answers we already know :duh: :annoy:. That’s got to be as silly as giving a University quarter of a million bucks to do a study, why the hell, prisoners want to escape from jail. (Hey don’t laugh to loud boys and girls; it was an American government who did that one). :banghead: :banghead: : :banghead:

But on a happier note I got to do some work on the bikes getting ready for the Redbacks, once bitten rally  :beers: :beers: :beers:
Took the B6 out for a quick spin, poor thing, it really was an angry little ant, with a huge assed flat spot, coming off the intermediate jets and onto the mains.
So back on the stand, drained the carbs, oh yuk, big loads of water, so a good old doss of metho, and some fresh fuel, another blat down the line to Lilydale and back had her running like a happy little vegemite, damn the B6 is still so much fun , I really have to keep a lid on things when I jump aboard it, to many times I looked down at the speedo :duh: and seen 180s on the dial. :squid:

And yet here we go again, f*#* i'm really over this bush fire shyte, at the moment I'm just about to leave and let the efen house burn :annoy: 60 to 90 MPH winds expected to hit us within the hour.

But me bike is all packed for not this weekend but next, rally with the wagga redbacks.

Tent, 2 fold out chairs 3 sleeping bags(the missus needs 2 she's cold blooded) wet weather gear x 2, 2 gas burners to cook up a feed, blow up double bed, pillows x 2,and electric pump (the missus is a big sook) if she followed my lead she'd be to pissed to worry about a bed. 2 changes on clothes x 2. 2 bottles of red ned, 4 glasses and bottle corker. No room for the kitchen sink this time.

Trailer cough cough, no maybe a leadwing :banghead: she who must be obeyed, on the B6 lets see now 1 30 litre gearsack bag....

But truth be known, althrough that looks like a huge pile of shyte on the back of the Zed, it ain't all that heavy, in fact its lighter than a pillion. Now if I could dig up the photos of the xmas trip we did 2 years back when the zed was off the road, with a radiator ailment, now that was a load, all what you see on the zed plus a pillion. :yikes: made for real easy mono's, and sore ribs. :annoy:

Oh yeh the world must be ending, there is this stuff falling from the sky, I think I remember way back when, it maybe rain, but not sure. :yikes:  Doh I'm a silly phucker, I should have known clean the B6 and send the woman back out to work as a motorcycle courier,,,,, what a great welcome back to the game,   she'd been gone for a little over an hour when I got a msg wet though and cold.

So there you go folks the dought and the bushfires are all my fault
