How fast......again

I wanted to find that post about how fast you have been and can't seem to find it.
Anyways.....an update on my part 150mph indicated. I couldn't help it...seems my wrist cramped up in the WFO position and wouldn't turn loose until my spincster cramp got worse than the wrist cramp.

Wow!  With our speedometer error, that'd be, what?  90?

Needle had a slight bounce between 150 and 160...so I'll be happy to say 150+.  Backed off....coming up on traffic REAL quick.

135 indicated.

Had the same problem as Billster.

The scenery ahead was getting MUCH too close too fast.

I can't seem to find it at the moment, but I know we just had this conversation fairly recently.  Just for giggles, I have taken mine up to 150 mph indicated.

can you guys indicate if you're modded and faired @ these speeds?
My bike is naked and it hurts to go over 110 mph (speedo-indicated)

There are drag racing nights @ my local speedways,
but I think those are for cars only-maybe too much liabilty with bikes.
i'd love to get a receipt at a drag strip

The last ride I took on my '82 GS1100E, I had it at redline in 5th. It had an 85mph speedometer so I have to go by the tach. I had geared it taller than stock so that worked out to mid 150's. When I left off of it and raised up in to the wind, it got one heck of a weave.
I've had my B6 at an indicated 120mph. I guess that would work out to 105-107 mph with the inaccurate speedometer.

B12 naked....with a little Ntl. Cycle bikini fairing.  definitely need to tuck in when you're up there.

No fairing, Holeshot highmount exhaust, stage 1 jet kit= 150 MPH indicated.  I have tried since I swapped to my 47 tooth rear sprocket.

That thread is in the B6/12 MODIFICATIONS section under the title "how fast will a 2005 bandit 1200s go?"

Naked B12 2001 with a Holeshot flyscreen works good too.  It creates a little pocket you can lay down in on the tank.  Peep over the top.  It's pretty cool with the gauges right in front of you and your eyeline right above the flycreen.  It's a pretty stable pocket at speed, just don't sit up or pick your head up at high speed.

here's a pick of what the holeshot screen looks like from the seat and front.  Stay tucked at speed and it's no problem.

I've seen my speedo close to pegged, but we all know it's nowhere near what's indicated.  I'm pretty sure the top speed test track results have been in the 140's and you know a pro rider has the throttle pinned for a while to get the true speed on radar...
