Yeah, the county you live in has a lot to do with your insurance rate.
When I lived in Florida, my insurance doubled when I moved from Jacksonville, to Tampa. If I had lived 2 miles north in the next county, it would have dropped back down to what i was paying further north.
I guess it's all about the amount of claims they have in that county.
Here in SC, occasionally they do roadblocks on back roads to check for licenses, tags, and insurance.
