A motorcyclist led Sheriff's deputies on a several mile chase before skidding off the roadway. A deputy tried to pull the driver over for speeding when he took off. Deputies believe the driver tried to get away because he didn't have a motorcycle license.

They chased him from Vine Street in Liverpool to Route 31 near Route 81 in Cicero. It ended when the motorcyclist spotted a Cicero police car in front of him and skidded off the road.

A motorcyclist led Sheriff's deputies on a several mile chase before skidding off the roadway. A deputy tried to pull the driver over for speeding when he took off. Deputies believe the driver tried to get away because he didn't have a motorcycle license.

The driver had only minor injuries, but deputies say it could have been much worse, "We have had many this year, many serious motorcycle accidents, multiple fatals and it’s this kind of operation that causes this to happen," said Undersheriff Warren Darby of the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department.

The motorcycle driver will be charged with evading police, driving without a license, speeding and numerous stop sign violations.
