Motorcyclist recoups cash

By Sun Wire Services

Local Briefs< -- A Parry Sound man who lost his wallet and other personal belongings after the saddlebag on his motorcycle opened while travelling on Hwy. 417 wound up $50 richer yesterday.

An Ottawa OPP officer was flagged down near the Moodie Dr. exit yesterday by the 60-year-old man who was on route to Cape Breton. The saddlebag on the man's bike had opened and his leather jacket and wallet were missing. The officer found the man's possessions about 29 km back and cash and identity cards were scattered all over the road's shoulder. When the items were returned to the motorcyclist, there was $50 more than what he had lost.
