I am sure the dealer and company still made a ton of money as I cant believe there is much real manufacturing money tied up into a Ducati except for the exterior. Good luck, you’ll need it, and as mom said when we were young, don’t go past the corner.

In all fairness I will add that I have allot of respect for die hard Ducati owners I know who admittedly acknowledge there unreliability even in online reviews. But are so in love with the bike and all its comradery circles (like the Harley crowd) that they don’t care and are committed to relationship despite the cost. So like I told my son if she really makes you happy enjoy the ride and to hell with the rest of us.

a bit late as you already bought the duck, i ride a triumph speed triple. and as stated the f.i was rough. a power comander and pipe with a custom map worked wonders. i have over 30,000 miles on my triple with no real issues. broken speedo cable is it. i have ridden both bikes and they are nothing alike. while both are good bikes i liked the triumph better. cheaper also. better power, handles just as good if not better, the s2r i rode had preload only and was way under sprung stock. triumph brakes are way better then a s2r. if i had the money at the time i might have looked at a s4rs but 15k is a bit much to match the triples numbers on power. a s4rs feels close to a triple in power. the s2r is a good bike dont let anyone fool ya. i ride with a guy who owns a duck shop here in ohio and that was his street bike. not that his was near stock when i rode it, and my triple still pulls much harder. though his sounds much meaner?!!
