Teen faces arrest for injuring motorcyclist with hose across road
FUKUOKA -- Police have decided to arrest a 14-year-old boy who strung a rubber hose across a road, causing a motorcyclist who rode into it to crash and suffer injuries, law enforcers said.
The boy, whose name has been withheld because he is a minor, faces arrest for inflicting injuries on the 30-year-old victim and for obstructing traffic.
Two other 13-year-old youths who cooperated in the incident have been questioned and subjected to police guidance.
Investigators said the three teens tied a rubber hose to the guardrails on a road in Fukuoka's Higashi-ku at about 1 a.m. on May 24 to block the road off. A motorcyclist rode into it and crashed, suffering injuries requiring about three weeks' treatment.
Police said the hose appeared to have got caught up in the handlebars of the motorcycle. (Mainichi)
