I've actually been lurking for a little while and just got around to making my first coupl'a posts. I suppose I should to the show and tell bit for a sec though..
I currently ride a 2001 Bandit 1200 'K' (naked). The thing is almost entirely stock except a National Cycle F-16 'tour-sheild' and my second set of rubber.
I've been riding since the ripe age of 16. At 16 I took and successfully passed the NH state MC driving exam and inherited a 1978 Honda Hawk CB400. The bike was purchased for my folks to get back into riding and pass the driving test after being out of it for years. The bike had fallen into disrepair and in proper father/son fasion dad and I fixed her up and made her road worthy. I rode this CB400 through college. It was my pride and joy!
At the ripe age of 24 I was a fresh college grad and had just accepted a nice new full-time job as a Software Engineer. They gave me a nice pile of money for moving expenses. As most college grads can relate, I had nothing substantial to move.. nothing that wouldn't fit in my pickup anyhow, so I quickly found myself w/ money to burn and lust for a newer, more powerful bike. That summer I bought my Bandit.
Professionally I make my money as a Software Engineer. My company builds equipment and software for planetariums. Kind of an odd thing but it (usually) pays the bills.
On the side I am an avid amateur photographer. I have a web gallery
here. Sadly I don't have many shots of the Bandit.. as I sit here typing this I'm not really sure why that is!
I have lived here in Southern NH for most of my life, except for a short stay in Western NY (Rochester) for school. I am firmly of the opinion that rural New England yeilds some very excellent riding material!
Anyhow, I am looking forward to posting here..
