Welcome... INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE!!!

Hello all. I am a Bandit fan from Sydney Australia.
I had a 96 1200 for a couple of years but unfortunately wrote it and myself off in May. I am still out of comission but I just picked up a slightly damaged 03 1200 that will receive a nice makeover and will hopefully be back on the road soon.

Regards, Daniel.

Thank you all for the welcome.

And Mick, I know the roads of the Riverina quite well as I used to live in Canberra and commuted most weekends to Wagga to see my then girlfriend. I lost count of the number of times my old RZ500 and I made the trip, but snapping a chain whilst overtaking two semi trailers was definitely a highlight.    Just outside of the aptly named town of Bookham.

hey everyone!

I'm a n00b rider, just took my MSF course two weekends ago and bought a beautiful '01 Bandit 600 the next day.  Since then I've been riding every day, trying to make use of the good weather before it turns into Washington State's rainy season.  Hopefully I'll soon get a chance to get out of the city and off to some more fun riding (on the Olympic Peninsula, if I'm lucky...)

Lots of good info around here - thanks!

 :bigok: Another Puget Sounder!  :beers:

If you head over to the Penninsula, be sure to ride SR112!  :bigok:
(Just west of Port Angeles to Neah Bay)

You'll also wanna get in a run over the N. Cascades Hwy (SR20).
Randle to Cougar down the east side of Mt. St. Helens is also most excellent!

G'day Matt.
I am from Sydney but my parents are at Callala Bay. I used to ride my RZ500 to Culburra quite a bit and I know the roads around Kangaroo Valley quite well.
Once I get my 03 1200 back on the road we should meet up and you could show me some other nice roads.

Cheers, Daniel.

Okie Bandit
« Reply #194 on: September 19, 2005, 06:13:13 PM »
Greetings,

I'm located in the flatlands of central OK.  After a 15 year hiatus from motorcycling I caught the bike bug again and bit the bullet.  My old ride (way-back-when) was a 84 Yamaha Virago 920 V-twin.  This time around I wanted to go S/T and started looking at the Honda ST-1300 and BMW R1150.  YOWZA! too pricey.  That's when I discovered the Bandit and (thanks to teh interanets) this website!

After reading all of your comments I knew this was my ride.  It wasn't too long before I found an 04 B1200S on eBay.  Low, Low miles, but needed some TLC.  I bought it and with some help from past posts and FAQs from BanditAlleyBBS (and some cash to Ron Ayers) the bike looks and rides cherry!

I guess you could say this is my mid-life, I'm 38.    Two boys 5 and 2 and a beautiful, patient, and tolerant wife.  I am primarily using the Bandit for my daily 60 mi round-trip commute, but I'd like to take off on weekends with the wife and find some twisties soon.  Even though I rode quite a bit back in the 80-90's I think I'll take the MSF course soon anyway.

Wanted to go to Arkansas and meet some of ya'll, but doesn't look like I'll make it.

Thanks to every contributor for a great site and the excellent resource!

 :thanks:
