Hi Guys
I am a recently returning rider. I bought a 2002 Bandit GSF600S in Jan 03 and am really glad to be back riding.

I live in Cranbrook, B.C., Canada. Right in the SE corner of BC, right in the Rocky Mountains, a few hours travel North of Spokane, Wash and a few hours west of Calgary, Alberta.

I own and operate an Esso Petroleum Distributor business here for the past 11 years. Prior to that I worked for Imperial Oil (Esso) for 10 years as a company rep, in various Marketing and Engineering roles. In the late 70's I was previously a Motorcycle mechanic for Allied Motorcycles in Burnaby (Vancouver) BC. Honda, Susuki & Bultaco. The bikes have changed quite a bit...

The roads right around town are not the best M/C roads, but within 3-5 hours ride I can access some of the best of what BC, Washinton and Idaho states have to offer. My preference for riding is 3-5 day trips with a few buddies. Hoping to make a weeklong trip through Idaho, Montana, Wyoming to Colorada and back summer 06.

The 600 Bandit is basically stock, with only higher fork oil level & more preload front and back. The stock tires have been replaced with BT-020 and I have some Kappa hard bags and Joe Rocket tank bag.

Plans are for new fork springs and oil this winter, possibly a Double Bubble windshield and another new rear tire.

Happy to be aboard...
Paul

WELCOME, guys!   :welcome:

Gotcha beat, Phil!  I went bikeless from '81 to '04.  Although, some would say I was bikeless in '80 & '81 as well (my time spent with an H-D 1340 Lowrider).

G'day all,

My name is Ken Prescott - I live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia.

I rode bikes in the late 70's to the early 90's - but was bikeless from 91 to 99.

I have had a few bikes since rekindling my love affair - the latest a (very slightly) used 2005 GSF1200S - this is a great bike, I just love the torque.

The only mods I have so far are scottoiler and GIVI top box - more to come of course (when the missus calms down about getting the Bandit - could be a month or two   )

Really like the site - heaps of info and tips.
Ken Prescott

Hey fellow riders,

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name for this forum is Groundpounder and I reside in Central California. I will be 45 next week and have been riding bikes since I was 15. My latest ride is an '05 Bandit LTD. Today, was the first chance I had to ride it since I took delivery last week. Wow, what a great riding machine. My last Suzuki was a '96 RF900...but, this bandit feels like the cadillac of motorcycles. Can't wait to break it in and then, go the distance. Nonetheless, this appears to be a great forum and I look forward to sharing thoughts, comments, and recommendations with fellow bandit riders. BTW, I have to admit...the bike is too quiet. Anyway, I'll save that for another topic. Ride on!

Welcome to the board Jorge.

Guys, Jorge's an artist, so be on the lookout for an eventual cosmetic makeover for his Bandit.

Hello all,

Been lurking for a week or so.  Great site!  No bandit yet, but in the market for a GSF400.

Been riding bikes since I was 5 or so (about 30 years ago).  All of them were of the "dirt" variety.  I just completed my street riding safety course and am ready to hit the asphalt...well, not literally I hope.

FYI, I've got some bandit stuff (manuals/fische) mirrored up on my website:

I'm looking for the GSF400 HI-RES shop manual to put up on my site.  My email account accepts 10 MB files

Glad to be here,
