Thanks Rob for putting up those pisc. I just oredered a chain yesterday,I went with the RK in red. When I where out my street tires,I have a buddy that wants to powder coat the wheels,I'll go with the silver.(I think) And I'll have to pull off that electrial tape off the frame under the tank and put a couple tie wraps on.  :beers: Dan

ow do all.

Im Ryan from Leeds, W. yorkshire. I was looking to buy a bandit 600 but came across my SVS which is awsome (thats up for debate on this site).
Evenstill i thought i would join this forum as my dad is about to buy his second bandit 1200n. But he struggles to turn the PC on, so i thought i would join for him.

Speedy - you're welcome here!  We have another SV guy around here, too.  I don't think you'll get much debate about the SV being a terrific bike because it is.

:welcome: Ryan. I think you'll find the SV series is well respected here.
. . . it's just another great Suzuki.  :bigok:

So, which SVS did you get? The 650 or the 1K?

hi,

The SVS is the 650 as i have to restrict it to 33bhp. it may be slow (tops out about 105mph) but it sounds awsome with the flueflame evo end can on!!!

restrictor
« Reply #72 on: March 31, 2005, 05:56:35 AM »
Hey Speedy,

If you don't mind, post up some info regarding you restrictor laws there. Why does your restrictor come off soon, and why was it there in the first place?

If it's not appropriate for this part of the forum either start a new thread somewhere else, or PM me if you want. You have my curiousity going on this one! I also get confused sometimes on what should go where on the board, and don't mean to "hi-jack" threads, although sometimes that is the outcome.

Steve

BTW: the SV is at the top of my list of bikes that I really don't need to buy! At times I have contemplated life without the b12 in favor of an SV, too much into my b12 and it is easy to work on and does everything so well for me.

Yup, Speeeeeeedy, the SV is a great bike, and probably to become a 'classic'.
Maybe I'll start a thread about motorcycle restrictions in various places for the heck of it, since it comes up at times, and tend to puzzle us Yanks! :duh:

hey.

This is prob. the wrong place, but here goes anyway

At 16 you can do a CBT (compulsary basic training) and ride a moped (50cc) restricted to 32mph.

At age 17 or over, you will have two types of full motorcycle licence to aim for - the A1 light motorcycle licence or the standard category A motorcycle licence.

To gain a full A1 light motorcycle licence you must successfully complete CBT and pass a theory test followed by a practical test on a vehicle between 75cc and 125cc. A full A1 licence permits you to ride any motorcycle up to 125cc and a power output of up to 11kW (14.6 bhp) without `L' plates, carry pillion passengers and use motorways.

To gain a full standard category A licence you must successfully complete CBT and pass a theory test followed by a practical test on a motorcycle of over 120cc but not larger than 125cc and capable of at least 100kph. In practice the normal test vehicle will be a 125cc machine. A full standard category A licence permits you ride any motorcycle with a power output of up to 25kW (33bhp) and a power-to-weight ratio not exceeding 0.16kW/kg without `L' plates, carry pillion passengers and use motorways. You are restricted to a motorcycle up to 25kW for two years (not counting any periods of disqualification). After two years you may ride any size motorcycle.

Riders aged 21 or over may opt to take a test on a large motorcycle. On passing the test they are immediately qualified to ride any motorcycle without restrictions. This option is called Direct Access. You must complete CBT, and if necessary, a motorcycle theory test and a practical test on a motorcycle of at least 35kW (46.6bhp).

A person thinking of doing their bike test aged 20 can do their test, but they can only ride a bike under 33bhp for two years. They may as well wait until they turn 21 then take their full test and ride anything straightaway
Hope this helps

SPeeeeDY

PS, i passed my test whan i was 17, im 18 now so only have to wait until 3 March 2006 for my restriction to be lifted
