While out and about helping the good woman at work, doing a relief courier run. I spotted one of them new Yammie MT 01, Naked V Twin Sports bikes. We pulled up to have a closer look, had not seen one in the flesh up close. After no more than a minute the owner came out, and saw us both checking out his new ride. After the usual BS banter, he started it up, It sounded awesome, he then out of nowhere looked at me smiling and sad " Take it for a ride ". Now I have never meet this bloke before,  and I did say yes. Well impessed to say the least, grunt, like a desiel truck, but smooth, awesome brakes too. But at 20 gorilla's plus here in Oz, it's still well out of my reach. But I must say it took at least 2 hrs to get the shyte eating grin off my face.

I am yet to see one on the road but I love the look. I would hate to be a pillion on one though, I can see the odd skin graft as a result. But as you said $21,500 is a lot of dollars.

I've seen them in the bike shop, and I've got to say my first impression was "What a god damn ugly bike".  But after having bit more a look, it's growing on me.  At this point the Treasurer said "Growing on you? what like a wart".

As for the bloke letting you ride it, he has to be one of the most trusting people I've ever heard of, (nothing against you Mick).... wonder if he's interested in buying a bridge in Sydney, looks a bit like a coat hanger.

Hey, off the subject a bit.

The Treasurer was doing the budget and figured 2 bikes, 2 cars, a dog, a cat and 2 kids was getting a wee tad expensive.  Especially when one of the cars and bikes are due for rego 3 days apart.

So,

we can't sell the kids, illegal,
can't dump the dog and cat, again illegal, besides their better behaved than the kids,
I'll be buggered if the Bandit gets sold,
The two cars come in handy, and the eldest boy is nearing Learners time.

What does the wife think about doing - sell the Ducati and buy a, wait for it, '96B6.  So of she goes to the local dealer and makes an enquiry.

They can sell us a '96B6 with 27thou on the clock, dubious service history, dodgy paint work for $6500 dollars.  Now using the '00 M750 as a trade they'll give us the bike and a cheque for $500.00.  Ok, now we check out how much M750's are fetching, and the bastards are ripping us of to the tune of around 2-3 grand.

Anyway, cut a long story short, the M750 is going to be out of rego for a month or so, then it'll re-registered and back on the road.

End result.  She's keeping her pride and joy, and I still get to ride a bike that's got a bit of soul.

Wow, 6 and a half gorilla's, man there was one on ebay in waggga for 3 and a half gorillas. One of the shops down here in Nth Melb got one for sale too. And its already naked  oops sorry.

No she ain't ridden that horid pink HON, HON, Pink thing, for months,
But she is starting to hassle me over getting the ZRX finished so she can claim the B6 as hers
